A warthog is a wild member in the Phacochoerus genus that lives in Africa. It consists of 2 species:
- Common warthog Phacochoerus africanus
 - Desert warthog Phacochoerus aethiopicus 
- Cape warthog, Phacochoerus aethiopicus aethiopicus
