Barut [ˈbarut] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jemielnica, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Jemielnica, 12 km (7 mi) north-east of Strzelce Opolskie, and 38 km (24 mi) east of the regional capital Opole.
