Chris Locke is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor,[1] most noted as the winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-Up at the 15th Canadian Comedy Awards in 2014.[2]
A native of Toronto, Ontario,[3] he began his comedy career in the mid-2000s. He has performed at comedy festivals and undertaken his own solo tours,[2] and has released two solo comedy albums, The World is Embarrassing (2014) and Demons Are Eating My Head (2016).[3]
He is a frequent collaborator with Seán Cullen, including the short comedy albums Chris and Seán are Tony and Keith in Nature and Chris and Seán are Tony and Keith in Horror,[4] and joint comedy shows.[5]
In 2018 he premiered the comedy web series Learning Nature with Chris Locke, on Funny or Die.[6] The series, in which Locke tries to create a nature documentary despite not knowing anything about the subject, was a Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Web Series, and Locke was a nominee for Best Performance in a Web Series, at the 19th Canadian Comedy Awards in 2019.
He has been a guest on Stop Podcasting Yourself,[3] and hosts the podcast Happy Good with Chris Locke.[5]
He is married to comedian and actress Kathleen Phillips.[7]
