Kugalur is a panchayat town in Erode district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Kugalur had a population of 11,682. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Kugalur has an average literacy rate of 50%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 60%, and female literacy is 41%. In Kugalur, 9% of the population is under 6 years of age.
