Pagellus acarne (axillary seabream) is a species of fish belonging to the family Sparidae.[1]
It is native to Southern Europe and Northern Africa.[1]
Called μουσμούλι in Greek, it is a highly coveted fish in Greece and considered a rare delicacy. It is called aligote in Spain. [2]
