Sandøya is an island in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 1.1-square-kilometre (270-acre) island was the namesake of the former Sandøy municipality. The highest point on the island is the 36-metre (118 ft) tall hill Bustihaugen. The island has ferry connections to Finnøya, Ona, and Orta. The historic Sandøy Church is located on this island.[1]
