09°22′58″S 35°50′31″W / 9.38278°S 35.84194°W Messias is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Alagoas. Its population is 18,031 (2020)[1] and its area is 113 km².[2]
The municipality contains 1% of the 6,116 hectares (15,110 acres) Murici Ecological Station, created in 2001.[3]
